Female
Founders

Honoring "a bold group of women whose innovations and ideas are leading their industries forward."
Inc.’s 8th annual Female Founders list pays homage to “a bold group of 500 women whose innovations and ideas are leading their industries forward.” See Shea as an honoree.
We are so excited to announce that Shea has landed on this year’s Inc. Female Founders list. Alongside 499 other incredible women—like Anna Brockway, co-founder of Chairish, an online marketplace for sourcing vintage furniture and art, and Jocelyn Gailliot, co-founder of Tuckernuck, a fashion brand Shea knows and loves—Shea is honored as one “whose innovations and ideas are leading their industries forward.” On the list of honorees, you’ll find the stories of women who have succeeded in their entrepreneurial journeys and who lead the way for the next generation of female founders.
“Female founders know what struggle is, but they’re also experts of improvisation, adaptability, and creativity. The women featured on this year’s list exemplify these qualities. Through times of uncertainty, their unwavering dedication and steadfast leadership are not only inspiring but vital to driving progress,” said Inc. executive editor Diana Ransom.
We couldn’t be prouder of the one we all look to for answers and guidance, and to our Diet Coke queen. Join us in saluting our founder, Shea McGee, and read the Inc. article here.

“Ten years ago, Syd and I officially launched Studio McGee, not entirely sure where it would take us but a very clear vision of where we hoped we’d end up. Throughout the past decade, we’ve had one mission that kept us steering straight and moving forward, and that is to make life beautiful for ourselves and those around us.”
