Reveal Day Photo Tour | Shea’s Studio Bathroom

In conjunction with our Kohler collaboration, Shea turns an under-utilized closet into a bathroom.

26 February –

Follow along as Shea turns an underutilized closet in her at-home studio into a New Heritage bathroom.

After some light construction with Tyler Farrell of Killowen Construction, Shea gets to work designing and outfitting her closet to bathroom renovation. At Syd and Shea’s Utah home, Shea keeps a design studio of her own. It’s the space she goes to for work when she isn’t heading into the Studio McGee headquarters. Originally, the space was designed with a large closet for extra storage, but over time, Shea realized that the space was underutilized and what would be of most importance is a spare bathroom. Luckily, we have a collaboration with Kohler and Ann Sacks, allowing Shea to outfit the space with just the right fixtures for her New Heritage aesthetic.

If you’re looking for custom bathroom renovation design ideas, you’ve come to the right place. Get a full photo tour of the bathroom renovation below, and watch the webisode to follow along as Shea guides us through her design decisions.

“When I’m designing a bathroom, I always start with the layout.”

Sail Cloth

On the ceiling and trim, Shea used Sail Cloth by Benjamin Moore

And the wallpaper Shea uses is Bird and Thistle by Brunschwig & Fils.

“The room is inspired by this beautiful wallpaper that I have fallen in love with.”

“This is my space, no one else is using it, so I went big with the pleats and the florals. It’s so happy in here.”
