Ten-Year Anniversary | Counting down the project-making paints that define our signature aesthetic.

In each project Shea and the design team take on, there’s a paint color that’s carried throughout the home or a single room with one bold color statement. Here’s a few of our favorites from past Studio McGee projects.

There are a few paint colors that are synonymous with Studio McGee, the main one of which is Benjamin Moore’s Swiss Coffee, which Shea often uses at 75% strength. There are others, however, that we may have only used once or twice, but that we think make one of the strongest statements in a home. For our ten-year anniversary, we’re looking back at a few of the most recent shades that turned an average room into the star. Here are ten of our favorite project-making paint colors from the Studio McGee archives.

“We color-drenched this room, matching the drapes and the wall/ceiling color. I really wanted it to feel dramatic.”

“I love to pick a few spots in a home to go dark and moody with the paint color. It’s a little surprise when you walk in.”
