A Look Back at Shea’s Fall Front Porches of the Past
Contents
As the leaves change, so does our excitement levels for the season that lies ahead. And every year we wait anxiously to see how Shea styles her front porch for the fall.
To get ready for the future season, we thought we’d take a look at the past, or at least past porch looks from the McGee Home. Here are some of our favorite fall front porches of past years.

01
Foraged Branches
The latest McGee Home front porch look features a foraged aesthetic of dried branches in a delicate arch. We’re loving the scattering of faux pumpkins, perfect for the fall season.

Fall Florals
This woven planter is filled with greens and crimsons—Timeless Treasure Heuchera, Midnight Rose Heuchera, Blackbeard Penstemon, Onyx and Pearls Penstemon, Vinca, and Creeping Wire Vine.

02
Pastel Pumpkins
The fall season is usually all about deep crimsons, oranges, and browns. We love how Shea designed this porch of the past with an array of pastels for a lighter take on seasonal styling. A simple welcome mat pairing finishes the understated look.

03
Wovens & Rattans
Utilizing a more muted palette, Shea’s front porch this season is all about creams and earth tones. This fall front porch was one of our favorites with an assortment of plants displayed flanking the door in rattan baskets and a woven welcome mat with muted colors. The addition of the garland was an unexpected take on a decor element traditionally reserved for the holidays.
It’s also about trying something different. “This year we went with a garland over the door and I’m loving this fresh perspective,” says Shea. “Yes, we’ve got pumpkins and mums, but we did it in a new way.” An assortment of potted greens completes the look. It’s an elevated approach to fall front porch décor that we’re loving.

04
Taking Flight
This porch of the past is most closely aligned with fall’s favorite holiday, Halloween. We love how Shea approached spooky styling without bringing on too much kitsch. The bats taking flight are a fun way to welcome guests into your home.
