Take a Tour of the McGee Home Set For Halloween
A mix of spooky elegance and autumnal warmth.
11 October 2024 –
This year, the McGee’s are embracing Halloween and fall decor with a mix of spooky elegance and autumnal warmth throughout their home.
For Shea, decorating for Halloween and fall is the perfect way to combine her love of design with the joy of creating a festive atmosphere for her kids. Each year, she likes to mix things up while staying true to her core principles: selecting a seasonal color palette and bringing it to life with carefully curated decor. Some of her fall favorites include ribbons, taper candles, iron accents, terracotta, branches, and leaves. She particularly enjoys the challenge of elevating Halloween decor, and believes it should be imperfect—favoring asymmetry and an organic, lived-in feel.
On the front porch, she layers lush autumn greenery and vibrant foliage for a welcoming, seasonal look. Inside, the striking Crow Double Taper Holder adds a touch of spooky elegance to the entryway, while sophisticated Marble Pumpkins offer a modern twist on classic fall accents. Shea’s styling balances playful elements with refined details, creating a home that feels both festive and polished. Watch Shea walk through her creative process here and tour the spaces and shop the pieces below.

“For my front porch this year, I was inspired by a trip to Blackberry Farm, where I came across a stunning dried branch installation in an old chapel. I knew I wanted to recreate the look in my own way at home.”

“I love the look of cheesecloth—it adds such a beautiful texture, and it looks good on any surface.”
