How to Recreate Our Favorite Office Spaces
01 Playful Office Space

With more and more people working remotely, giving your workspace a spruce up for the new year is top priority.

For some of us, a home office means an entire dedicated workspace, and for others, a home office means maximizing the square footage of a spare bedroom to double as an office. Regardless of its shape or size, a home office has taken on a new meaning since 2020. More and more people are working from their homes and needing a space that fosters creativity.

Today we’re pulling some of our favorite office spaces from past Studio McGee design projects and steering you in the direction toward recreating the look in your own home—from cognac leather sofas for a rustic charm look to shades of brown to adorn your walls.

01

Color-Drenched
One color, one application.

The color-drenched workspace inside our Tahoe Pines project is a great example of how to take one color and run with it in your design plans. Dark Olive by Benjamin Moore is used on the walls, trim, ceiling, and cabinetry, juxtaposed with a light oak desk and leather rolling desk chair. We love the browns and creams that provide the perfect contrast to the moody green.

In the office, the walls, trim, ceiling, and cabinetry are Dark Olive by Benjamin Moore.

02

Wood-Wrapped
A natural aesthetic.

The wood-wrapped office inside our Summit Estate project is all about natural materials. A deep-hued paint color is used on the office cabinetry, Nightfall by Benjamin Moore, and creates a serene, moody space. There’s a masculinity about this office space that we love.

03

Rustic Charm
The American West.

We’re loving the playful nod to the American West inside the office of our Water’s Edge project. Layer your space with lots of plaid and leather to replicate the aesthetic. It feels laidback and lived-in while still featuring elevated design.

04

Laidback + Layered
A gallery aestheetic.

The office inside our Cabo Dos Vistas project is a personal nod to the owner. It has personality in spades layered on the walls and in the exposed shelving. Create a gallery wall in your own office space to showcase all the things that are special to you.
