The location of our McGee & Co. Spring 2025 shoot was a special one, as Shea and the design team got to revisit one of our portfolio-defining projects from the beginning days of Studio McGee. The Crestview House has always been a favorite, and while we still love the laidback, beachy aesthetic of its original form, it was such a treat to restyle (and shoot it in darker light, as is trending in photography today) it and see it in a different form. We were struck by how simple restyling or switching out a light fixture can dramatically change a space’s overall design aesthetic, all without lifting a hammer. To demonstrate, we’ve pulled together shots from the original home adjacent the newly styled vignettes to show you just how items inside the home can create a lasting change without touching the house’s bones.
